Round trip. From Cerrete hamlet (793 m), reached by car on paved road from Ardesio, climb to Cacciamali hamlet (1032 m). Don’t enter the village but turn left passing near the little church. Following the path, enter the forest; the path climbs quite steeply, always in the woods, to Monte Secco pastures. At the end of the forest, the trail climbs in the meadows to reach the upper hut of Monte Secco (1717 m), the highest point on the trail (on the right beyond the hut there is a hard track to the top of Monte Secco) . 264 path turns left, for a first stretch is nearly flat then goes downhill, reaching the lower hut of Monte Secco (1401 m). On the right, near the hut, begins the 264B path, climbing up to cross 241 path (to Monte Vaccaro or Rifugio Vaccaro). At an altitude of about 1100 m, turn left (northward) to reach again the path leading to Cerrete.
