Starting from the Curò Refuge (1915 m), it runs along the artificial Barbellino lake, following the easy trail that crosses first through the Cerviera valley (path n° 321), then the Trobio valley and climbs the Serio river valley. After leaving on your left the path n° 310 (which goes up the side Malgina Valley), you enter the large basin of the natural Barbellino Lake. Then the path continues, passing near the Barbellino Refuge (2129 m), and starts to climb the slope of the orographic left side. You gain altitude with many bends touching first the small A.E.S. bivouac (2592 m) and, just above, the large saddle of Caronella Pass (2612 m).
