Descrizione
The path starts from via Quintino Alto in Monterosso, Bergamo (310 meters high). You walk up and gain height following the track called “Filone della Maresana” that leads you quickly to Maresana’s hill (546 meters high). If you want to avoid this first section, you can drive to the panoramic view point over Bergamo and park there. From Maresana the path goes on at first flat on the north slope running along the forest road, then you take the track on your right side that leads to “Croce dei morti” ( The dead’s cross). You keep on walking on the driveway as far as “Cà del Latte” (Milk House) where you join path 532. You keep on walking into the broad-leaved wood onto Monte Solino and Monte Luvrida’s slopes and you get to Forcella di Sorisole (or Forcella del Sorriso). The track carries on right (toward east) and, passing on Monte Campanua’s peak, it reaches Canto Basso (801 meters high). From here you keep on walking as far as Monte di Nese where you join path 531 and, after a while, you reach Castello di Monte di Nese’s place. Then the track goes on hillside with some short spurt and it gets to Salmezza (1172 meters high). Following the paved driveway, you get finally to Selvino.
