CENTRAL-EASTERN OROBIE TRAIL / SENTIERO DELLE OROBIE CENTRO-ORIENTALI
From the Calvi Refuge (2050 m) come down to the Rotondo lake and cross its emissary. In this way you reach the wooded versant of the Brembo river valley, that runs slightly downhill until the “del Poris” huts (1956 m). Now go up in the valley, cross the path n° 246, cross the river at an altitude of about 2030 m and, continuing, you arrive to the plain placed between “del Diavolo” Peak and Poris Peak (junction with path n° 248). Continue towards east until arrive at Valsecca Pass (2496 m), which is reached by some hairpin bends. From the pass, go down on the side of Valsecca valley - through rocks and grass - towards the ridge sloping down from Tendina Peak and you come soon to the Frattini bivouac (2125 m). From the bivouac go down to the pastures below and, again downhill with moderate slope, until the “del Salto” valley (about 1900 m). Beyond this valley it goes up first with stronger slope, then milder, to traverse the mountainside of Gro Peak and mount Cima Soliva. Finally, you arrive at the junction with the path n° 227 (which climbs from Fiumenero) and, just ahead, to the “Baroni al Brunone” Refuge (2295 m).
