Sistemiamo l’auto nell’apposito parcheggio di fronte all’Hotel Spampatti, passo della Presolana. Attraversiamo la strada SS 671 con attenzione e ci incamminiamo verso la strada sterrata che sale verso il monte. Il primo tratto ha una leggera pendenza ed il fondo è cementato. Lungo il percorso, sono presenti delle panchine in legno, che ci permettono di ammirare il panorama. Raggiungiamo e superiamo una stradina che si inserisce da sinistra. Dopo aver raggiunto un bivio, svoltiamo a sinistra, facendo attenzione al ghiaccio presente. Salendo, nei tratti in ombra sono ancora presenti delle zone ghiacciate, le superiamo sulla destra. Sulla destra è presente un tavolo per un picnic, ma decidiamo di proseguire per raggiungere zone soleggiate. Tra gli alberi del bosco filtra il sole, che scioglie il ghiaccio presente sul cammino. Man mano che si sale, si alternano zone con il sole a zone con ancora del ghiaccio. Raggiungiamo un bivio, con un sentiero che si inserisce dalla destra, proveniente dalla Cantoniera della Presolana, proseguiamo diritti. Con sullo sfondo la Regina delle Orobie, sulla destra del percorso, compaiono le bandiere del rifugio. Raggiungiamo la Baita Cassinelli ora Rifugio Medici (1568 m.). Decidiamo di entrare per uno breve spuntino. Prima di riprendere il cammino, un saluto alla nostra “Regina”, la Presolana che splende sotto il sole e ritorniamo a valle seguendo il percorso dell’andata.

We park the car in the car park in front of Hotel Spampatti, Presolana Pass. We cross the SS 671 road carefully and set off along the dirt road that climbs towards the mountain. The first section has a slight incline and the ground is cemented. Along the way, there are wooden benches, which allow us to admire the view. We reach and pass a small road that enters from the left. After reaching a crossroads, we turn left, being careful of the ice present. As we ascend, there are still some icy areas in the shady sections; we pass them on the right. On the right there is a table for a picnic, but we decide to continue to reach sunny areas. The sun filters through the trees in the forest and melts the ice on the path. As we ascend, we alternate between areas with sunshine and areas with still some ice. We reach a junction, with a path entering from the right, coming from the Presolana Cantoniera, we continue straight on. With the Queen of the Orobie Mountains in the background, the hut flags appear on the right of the path. We reach Baita Cassinelli now Rifugio Medici (1568 m.). We decide to go inside for a short snack. Before resuming the walk, a salute to our ‘Queen’, the Presolana shining in the sunshine, and we return to the valley following the outward journey.
