Descrizione
Davide bivouac (2645 m) is located close to Torsoleto Pass. It is dedicated to Davide Salvadori (a young mountain lover died at the age of only 22) and was inaugurated in 1994. It is placed halfway on the famous “Sentiero 4 luglio” trail (a skyrunning race - the Skymarathon Sentiero 4 luglio - goes along such trail). Water can be found at Torsoleto Hut or by descending Val Brandèt valley (for about 15') towards Pìcol lake. In addition to the more usual accesses reported on the Internet, it is also possible to access the bivouac starting from our provincial boundaries parking on the side of “Strada del Vivione” route (when it crosses the Sellero valley). Then enter “del Sellero” valley, reach Sellero pass - Mount Culvegla - Torsoleto pass and Davide bivouac, by paths (difficulty: EE = ESCURSIONISTI ESPERTI / EXPERIENCED HIKERS) riding the beautiful ridge between Sellero pass and Davide bivouac.
