Descrizione
The track starts in Nese (Alzano Lombardo’s suburb) in via G. Marconi on the peculiar stairway called “Cento Gradini” (One-hundred steps). Please note that there are only few park places nearby. At the end of the stairways, you keep on walking on the paved road, at first among nice villas in the suburbs and then through a thick broad-leaved wood. As you get to Lonno’s village (Nembro) the track joins both path 532 and path 535. (If you want to shorten your walk and avoid the ascent on the paved driveway, you can park the car on Lonno’s little square). As you cross the little village (following the signs), the track twists and turns hillside on Monte Podona’s west slope through copse woods and wild fields as far as Salmezza’s residential area. That is probably the birthplace of the painter Enea da Salmezza, whose nickname is “il Talpino” (XVI century).
