From Alpe Corte Hut (1415 m), go on for a few minutes till crossing the creek and climb the opposite side of the valley. After a short stretch you cross the forest road leading to the crossroad with 244 path, to the lower 1565 m) and middle (1614 m) Neel huts. Follow climbing along the meadows of the Neel pastures till Rifugio Lago Branchino ( Hut) and Branchino Lake(1784 m). Just beyond the lake, you get Branchino Pass (1821 m), and from here head southward on a scree that climbs up to a saddle (Corna Piana Saddle - 2078 m) facing the Mandrone slope. Go downhill a short stretch then go on and turn left towards Corna Piana Pass (2130 m) visible eastward, leaving the 244 path leading to Rifugio Capanna 2000 (Hut). Climb to the Corna Piana Pass, then go downhill along the Valcanale Valley, staying always on the left side, till the remains of the old ski lifts. Following carefully the signs in the meadows and then in the sparse woods, head to northwest to the GAN Hut (1563 m - crossing with 244 path).
The track from Branchino Pass to Mandrone (cross-path with 244 trail) and a part of path 244 and path 222, is named “Sentiero Dei Fiori” (Flowers Trail)
The track from Rifugio Alpe Corte to Branchino Pass (with path 219 and path 220) is called “Sentiero Delle Farfalle” (Butterflies Trail) and you will find on the path special boards explaining the natural features of the area
