Sentiero 270: Costa (Roncobello) - Baite di Mezzeno

The path starts from the Costa di Roncobello hamlet (1025 m), and for the first stretch is overlapped to 235 path. Climb in the woods and get the Corna Buca place (a big cave at 1292 m) to reach the clearing of  “dello Zoppo” hut (or Baresi hut, 1383 m).Hike northward up to 1600 m (crossroad: path 235 turns right to Cima di Menna) turn left and take the “ Gilberti Path” (in memory of  Vittorio and Celso Gilberti). Head back to Roncobello valley and take the north slope of the Pizzo to continue eastward to reach the Vindiolo upper hut (1610 m). Crossing an difficult area on overhanging cliffs (pay attention!), you reach a scree (footpath for Capovalle) and the Cavrarés pastures (Caprarizza - 1599 m). Then cross a canal under the slopes of Corno Branchino and go on to the crossroad with 219 path and the Mezzeno (1591 m) huts
