From the hamlet Sambughera of Valbondione, just past the last houses, the path starts on your left at an altitude of 937 m). It goes down to the Serio river and crosses it by a little bridge. The route climbs the steep wooded slope with a few bends. At the end of the wood continue along the hillside until you cross the stream with a new bridge (this artifact was built in 2009 to allow the realization of a new stretch of the path that would avoid a stretch of difficult maintenance and safety). Then it climbs carefully this new path (protective barriers) which connects a little higher with the old route. It will soon reach the small ENEL basin placed just below the refuge. You cross the river by a bridge and arrive soon to the goal (1892 m).
