Beyond Valgoglio center, follow on the road leading to Centrale di Aviasco (hydraulic power plant) (free and toll parking area) till the crossroad with the paved road leading to Valenti and Bortolotti hamlets (toll parking area beyond Bortolotti). Climb a short stretch the road and at a height of 970 m, you find the start of the path. The first stretch of the pat is on the paved road and then on the easy old mule track leading to Bortolotti hamlet.(1146 m). The path continues in open ground along the penstock of the power plant coming down from the lakes and then entering the dense forest. Climb in the forest reaching a crossroad with a forest road. Follow it for a while, then at a signpost, turn left and climb a steep slope. The path, with some hairpin bends, leads to a plateau (1800 m approx) with ENEL buildings. Turn right and go northward (on the left 268 path to the Capanna Lago Nero- Hut), follow the shore of Sucotto Lake and in short you reach Baita
