The path is not very practiced by hikers, but it worth walk on it in every season to enjoy the sights you have when you climb up.
You can start the trip from Valrobà, hamlet of Valleve, or from trail 117A coming from Branzi. (see 117A path description)
The path from Varobà runs on a forest road to the crossroad with 117A path, then climbs in the woods, crosses the clearing Fòpa Redunda (very characteristic for the numerous ants’ nests near the path), the meadows of “Le Rài" hut (at 1530 m, municipal hut, always open and with available drinking water). Finally, you get Monte Colle dairy hut (crossroad with 118 path leading to Monte Colle pass and Piazzatorre village). From Monte Colle's dairy hut, you enjoy the view opens onto all the tops of the Alta Val Fonda and other peaks. The path continues passing by Baitelli hut and then Quedro hut, reaching the Forcolino of Torcola (1856 m, pass on the watershed and crossroad with 119 path).
WARNING: Up to Monte Colle dairy hut the path is safely accessible throughout the year.
In winter and spring time, approaching Forcolino of Torcola or making other detours, you could be under avalanche danger.(Get information from Regional Avalanche Danger Bulletin and/or local experts)
With caution you can make very satisfying trips in the area using snowshoes.
